GripWasher is a 2-disc locking system based on pretensioning force, which uses the wedge locking principle to prevent screw connections from loosening automatically. External radial ribs, which are embossed into the mating material when tightened, and internal wedge surfaces facing each other ensure that a high pretensioning force is maintained. The GripWasher discs are unique in their design and are characterized by a gear-shaped contour of the lower disc. This contour, in combination with a special dual socket, enables the screw connection to be pretensioned using conventional electrically, pneumatically or hydraulically operated bolting tools from common manufacturers. In this way, large screw connections can be assembled and disassembled quickly and easily - especially when many screw connections of the same size are repeated.
